Botswana - Shelter Botswana's Preschool Toilets

Back in 2022, the capacity of Shelter Botswana’s Preschool was 30 students as they only had enough toilets for 30 children even though they had enough classrooms and teachers for 54 students. So later that year, you enabled them to put in 3 bathrooms and increase their capacity to 54 students.

In 2023, the Shelter managed to build a canvas-sided classroom and started a program of volunteer support teachers.

Then, their local government informed them that if they put in 2 more toilets, they could increase their capacity to 75 students.

In 2024, some of you wonderful foundation family members responded to their plea. Now, thanks to the toilets you helped them put in, they have been permitted to increase their capacity, and they are really excited to take in 21 more kids from their waiting list!
