When you lift up women, you lift up humanity Naserian

With the help of some of our foundation family members and Alakra (the organisation RAS Partner Tim Corfield set up to help young Tanzanian women to take control of their lives through education and skills training), Naserian, a young Maasai woman, has now finished her degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She has learned to take blood samples from patients and perform tests for all kinds of things such as Malaria, Typhoid and HIV.

We are now helping her to get her licence to practice, which should take a further six months, and then she will be able to get a job in a hospital.

She is determined to lift up those around her, she said:

“I love helping people and it’s the reason I engaged in a health career so I can at least help people by taking care of their health. l like to participate in community functions, especially among my people, that spread awareness about health issues, personal hygiene and the importance of education. After I graduate, I hope to start work in a hospital, help my family and those around me in the best way I can. I hope to always live a healthy and good Christian life, participate in community functions and change someone’s life for the better.”

We are extremely proud of Naserian, she is an inspiring young woman who is already doing so much good, and she is just one example of when you lift up women you lift up humanity!
