Kenya - Lion Landscapes Jill's Cubs

You may remember Jill the Lion, who was collared last year as part of Lion Landscapes’ Collaring for Co-existence Program, which some of you generously supported.

Well, she has had two cubs, and her fellow lionesses have had cubs as well! As is typical, they created a creche to care for all the cubs together, and currently, her pride has six lionesses and eight cubs. At the moment, they are spending most of their time on Loisaba Conservancy, with the odd trip outside the conservancy to Kamogi.

Also, at the end of last year, with your support, Lion Landscapes managed to collar a male Lion called Brutus on Lolomarik after predation incidents. The collaring has already helped the team with the early detection of Brutus’ pride coming near to livestock, and their early notification of the livestock owners has prevented potential conflict.
