While the world is slowly opening up for some, international tourism to parks in Africa is practically non-existent, and Africa’s wildlife, wild places and local communities still face the same mounting pressures as they did before the pandemic. This is why the co-founders of Prints for Wildlife, Pie Aerts and Marion Payr, decided to launch this unique fundraising campaign which is running from July 11th to August 11th 2021, to raise needed funds for conservation. They have brought together more than 170 globally renowned wildlife photographers who are donating over 170 images, for one goal: to raise funding for African Parks, a conservation NGO that manages 19 parks in 11 countries on behalf of Governments and communities.

These photographers span 33 nationalities and represent some of the greatest talent of our time. They include Nikon, Canon and Sony Ambassadors; National Geographic icons; World Press Photo winners and Wildlife Photographers of the Year awardees; as well as a diverse group of emerging and upcoming talent.

When asked why they launched this campaign to benefit African Parks, Pie and Marion said “We believe the key to conservation is putting people at the heart of the solution, which is done through community programs supporting health, education, job security and sustainable livelihoods. African Parks and their community-centric approach to conservation is ensuring that the protected areas under their management are safe places where wildlife and people can flourish. And in safe places, magical things can happen, which is why there is no better partner for us than African Parks.”
